I provide a safe, intellectual, and empathetic space for gifted souls to explore the complexities of their inner world.
I have extensive experience in the field of mental health and psychotherapy, with a particular focus on the unique psychological needs of high-ability and gifted individuals. Currently in private practice, I work to create a confidential, safe, and non-judgemental environment to explore the specific reasons that have brought you to therapy.
Therapy is a process of deep exploration. For the gifted individual, this often means moving beyond standard “coping skills” to address the existential weight, intellectual intensity, and social “otherness” that often accompany high potential. I help my clients build their own resources to develop increased confidence, emotional regulation, and resilience in managing the unique dilemmas of a gifted life.
My Philosophy
The way I work is unique to you. I recognise that gifted minds often process information with greater speed, depth, and complexity. In our sessions, you won’t have to “slow down” or explain your metaphors.
I am trained in various therapeutic modalities and style my approach based on your individual needs, preferences, and neurotype. Whether we are addressing the “asynchronous development” of a student or the career “multipotentiality” of an adult, my goal is to help you bridge the gap between your external achievements and your internal sense of self.
Counselling for the Gifted Adult
Many of my adult clients have spent a lifetime feeling “too much” or “not enough.” I support adults in navigating existential anxiety, the complexities of workplace “mismatch,” and the search for authentic connection in a world that can feel intellectually isolating.
Psychotherapy for Gifted Students
I work closely with students who struggle with the pressure of high expectations. We address the unique challenges of asynchronous development, school boredom, and the social-emotional sensitivities that often come with high cognitive ability.
Overcoming Imposter Syndrome
I specialise in helping high achievers silence the inner critic that whispers they are a fraud. We work to internalise success, move past paralysing perfectionism, and transition from a state of chronic over-preparation to one of healthy excellence.
